BRS party worker dies after actor Raghu Babu’s car rams his bike

The actor's car hit Janardhan Rao's two-wheeler near Nalgonda bypass road. He died instantaneously. The deceased was the BRS general secretary of Nalgonda town.

BRS party worker dies in accident, Raghu Babu's car involved

A BRS party worker died in a car accident near Nalgonda bypass road on Wednesday, 17 April. The accident occurred when Telugu actor Raghu Babu’s car rammed the two-wheeler.

A short video related to the car accident went viral on social media.

According to the police, the police identified the deceased as Sandineni Janardhan Rao, BRS general secretary of Nalgonda town.

A native of Mangalapalli village in the Nakrekal Mandal, Janardhan was survived by his wife Nagamani, a daughter, and a son.

Eyewitnesses claimed that actor Raghu Babu’s car dragged the bike for about 50 metres after ramming into it. The Nalgonda police registered a case for negligent driving and launched an investigation.

Janardhan Rao, aged 51, belonged to Srinagar Colony in Nalgonda town. He had been working as the town general secretary in the BRS party.

On Wednesday afternoon, he was returning home on his two-wheeler from his Datta Sai venture set up at the Rickshaw Pullers colony in the town.

At the same time, actor Raghu Babu was going to Miryalaguda from Hyderabad in his car bearing the registration number KA 03 MP 69 14.

Accidentally, the actor’s car hit Janardhan Rao’s two-wheeler. Subsequently, Rao suffered fatal injuries and died on the spot.

It is learnt that Raghu Babu’s driver was driving the car when the accident occurred.

Following a complaint lodged by Janardan Rao’s wife Nagamani, the police registered a case and are investigating.
