Has Ramya passed away? Is she fine? Must be fake news right? — These were just a few of the many enquiries that kept bombarding our correspondent.
Well, the Sandalwood queen or Mohaka Taare in Kannada as Ramya/Divya Spandana is fondly referred to by her diehard fans is perfectly fine and healthy.
In fact, she is currently having a good time in Europe and was last seen enjoying a meal in Geneva.
So, what led the whole fake news about Ramya to spread like wildfire?
It might sound bizarre, but sources close to the actress-turned-politician revealed that “some PRO” from the Tamil film industry got confused with the death news of the late Spandana Raghavendra.
The wife of Vijay Raghavendra, who had recently passed away on 7 August due to massive cardiac arrest, at the age of 44 while she was in Bangkok.
With Spandana being the common name, the strange explanation for putting out such unverified news on social media has certainly raised some unanswered questions.
Furthermore, the actress was more popularly known as Ramya, than as Divya Spandana until she made her foray into politics.
Also, it has been almost a month since the unfortunate death of Spandana Raghavendra.
Meanwhile, Ramya finally put all the rumours to rest by posting a message while replying to a journalist friend whom she met in Geneva for dinner.
It is also learnt that the actress is now en route to Prague and thereafter to Bengaluru in the coming days.
