Asif Ali-Suraj Venjaramoodu’s ‘Adios Amigo’ release deferred to 15 August

The film piqued the interest of fans because it brought the actors together for the first time on the silver screen.

Adios Amigo will be released on 15 August

Asif Ali and Suraj Venjaramoodu’s new movie, Adios Amigo, has raised expectations among cineastes after the launch of the first-look posters.

The film also piqued the interest of fans because it brought the actors together for the first time on the silver screen.

Further, the promotional material hinted that it would be a pakka entertainer.

However, movie buffs will have to wait for more time as the makers postponed the release of Adios Amigo. Supposed to hit the screens on 2 August, Adios Amigo will now be released on 15 August.

However, the reason behind the decision is not known.

Sharing the news on his Facebook page, Asif Ali wrote: “A little delay, a lot more excitement! We’re pushing back the release of Adios Amigo to August 15.”

Asif Ali and Suraj, in different interviews, confirmed that the film would be a fun-packed entertainer.

It marks the directorial debut of Nahaz Nazar. Thankam wrote the script.

The Malayalam movie also features Shine Tom Chacko, Ganapathi, Althaf Salim, Jinu Joseph, Salim Hassan, Anagha, Muthumani, and Riaa Saira in prominent roles.

It is bankrolled by Ashiq Usman. Jimshi Khalid handles the cinematography. The editing is by Nishadh Yusuf. Gopi Sunder is scoring the music.

A busy year for Asif & Suraj

Meanwhile, Asif Ali’s recent flick Thalavan alongside Biju Menon did well at the box office. His next release, Level Cross, is slated for release on 26 July.

Asif is currently working on Jofin T Chacko‘s upcoming untitled film. The shooting is in progress. At the launch of the shoot in May, the actor said it would be the biggest movie in his career.

He plays a cop in this investigative drama, which casts Anaswara Rajan, Zarin Shihab, and Manoj K Jayan in crucial roles.

The actor has an interesting lineup of films for release this year, including Tiki Taka, Abhyanthara Kuttavali, and Kishkindha Kandam.

He also signed a feel-good entertainer with Aayirathonnu Nunakal (2023) director Thamar KV.

On the other hand, Suraj Venjaramoodu is basking in the success of Grrr and Nadanna Sambavam. In the films, he shared the screen with Kunchako Boban and Biju Menon respectively.

He is also part of Nissam Basheer’s yet-to-be-titled film and Prem Shankar’s Thekku Vadakku alongside Vinayakan.

He is debuting as a producer with Aamir Pallikkal’s ED-Extra Decent, which will also see him as the protagonist.

Further, the actor is debuting in Tamil with Chiyaan Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, under the direction of SU Arun Kumar.
