All about Akhil Anilkumar and Arjun Ashokan

Akhil Anilkumar debuted in Malayalam with Archana 31 Not Out (2022), which was headlined by Aishwarya Lekshmi.

The story is about the wedding of a 28-year-old schoolteacher named Archana (played by Lekshmi) to an NRI and the twists that follow.

Archana 31 Not Out underlined that women have the right to make their own decisions and choose what’s best for them. However, the film evoked mixed reviews and did not do well at the box office.

Hakim Shahjahan drew attention for his impressive performance though.

The actor later played crucial roles in Pranaya Vilasam (2023) and Kadakan (2024).

Meanwhile, Arjun Ashokan has an impressive lineup of films, including Vishnu Vinay’s Anand Sreebala, Jo and Jo-fame Arun D Jose’s Bromance, Vishnu Sasi Shankar’s Sumathi Valavu, and Lijo Thomas’s Anbodu Kanmani.

The actor rose to fame with Romancham (2023), where he played a key role. He is also recognised for his performances in Pranaya Vilasam and Bramayugam (2024).

Arjun Ashokan was lauded for his subtle performance in Bramayugam. Interestingly, the role was initially offered to Asif Ali who couldn’t take it up due to date clashes.

Arjun shone as SI Anand Das in his recent outing—Once Upon a Time in Kochi. However, the film lacked the soul and elements needed for commercial cinema. Thanks to the poor script, it offered nothing new to audiences.
