The big news came from Mythri Movie Makers who dropped the new poster of Iconic Star Allu Arjun’s upcoming film Pushpa: The Rule while also announcing the release date.

The National Award-winning actor‘s much-awaited film will hit theatres worldwide on 15 August 2024.

The update gave a sigh of relief for Allu Arjun fans who have been waiting for the movie’s development with a bated breath. The makers took to social media platforms to announce the release date.

Pushpa: The Rule, the sequel to Pushpa: The Rise, features Rashmika Mandanna as ravishing Srivalli who romances Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun).

It also casts Fahadh Faasil as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, Anasuya Bharadwaj as Dakshayani, comedian-actor Sunil as Mangalam Seenu and Jagadeesh Prathap as Kesava. Sritej, Shanmukh, Rao Ramesh, Prakash Raj, and Ajay will appear in key roles.

What was conceptualised as a web series initially, the story of Pushpa was later made into two parts after much consultation among the makers and star cast.

A few scenes of Pushpa 2 were already shot before the release of the first part, however, Sukumar said in an interview that he would change the plot a bit and it needed a reshot in a few portions.

The movie will have music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

The principal photography of the flick commenced in 2022.

It is initially shot in Telugu and is expected to be released in multiple languages — Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi — to target audiences across the country.

Meanwhile, Pushpa: The Rule is predicted to do a mind-boggling pre-release business. It is estimated that the flick would do a pre-release business to the tune of ₹800 crore.

Made with a budget of ₹350 crore, the makers are likely to shell out a whopping ₹200 crore as remuneration for the cast of Pushpa 2.

The OTT rights have already been sold to Amazon Prime Video.
