Ajay Ghosh and Chandini Chowdary at Music Shop Murthy teaser launch

Senior character artiste Ajay Ghosh has expressed his admiration for young actor Chandini Chowdary and her dedication towards the craft.

He said Chandini’s performance left him amused and also made him assess his acting talent.

Ajay Ghosh and Chandini Chowdary played crucial roles in the upcoming Telugu movie Music Shop Murthy.

Siva Paladugu wrote and directed the film. Harsha Garapati and Ranga Rao Garapati produced it under the banner of Fly High Cinemas.

The teaser of Music Shop Murthy was recently released. Director Ajay Bhupathi graced the event as the chief guest and congratulated the film team.

Addressing the event, Ajay Bhupathi said, “The teaser is good. I want to watch the movie when it gets released. It beautifully portrays the journey of a young woman from the current generation alongside an elderly man from the old generation. Such journeys often lead to valuable lessons in life.”

He added, “I have friends across different generations. The friendship influenced me to create characters like Daddy in RX 100 (2018), Uncle in Maha Samudram (2021) and Ajay Ghosh’s role in Mangalavaaram (2023).”

Bhupathi further said, “Actors like Ajay Ghosh and Kota Srinivasa Rao have the potential to portray such versatile roles. I always make it a point to watch films featuring Chandni Chowdary because she chooses roles that have a lasting impact. The music in the teaser sounded promising.”

Three years to make Music Shop Murthy

Ajay Ghosh shared that director Siva dedicated three years to film Music Shop Murthy. Even during the challenging times of the pandemic, he worked really hard.

“When Siva approached me to play the main lead, I questioned his decision as to why he has been investing in me. However, after hearing the story and stepping onto the set, I realised the depth and significance of this film. It reflects life’s complexities, highlighting what we’ve lost and the state we find ourselves in,” he added.

The veteran actor further said, “Like we often praise Tamil, Malayalam, and Marathi cinema for their quality content and innovative concepts, Telugu cinema is evolving too with the trends.”

Ajay Ghosh stated that Music Shop Murthy was one such concept-driven story. “The story takes precedence over any individual character, including mine. We merely played our parts to bring the story to life,” he signed off.
