Aishwarya Rajesh to debut in Kannada with ‘Uttarakaanda’

Apart from Aishwarya Rajesh, there are speculations that Malayalam actor Bhavana Menon will also star in the film.

Daali Dananjaya and Shiva Rajkumar’s Uttarakaanda is the most anticipated film of 2024.

The movie was in the news last month when actor-producer Ramya opted out of the project citing date issues.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, 23 April, the film team announced that Tamil actor Aishwarya Rajesh was roped in to play the role of Durgi.

Thus, Uttarakaanda marks the debut of Aishwarya Rajesh in the Kannada film industry.

Apart from Aishwarya Rajesh, there are speculations that Malayalam actor Bhavana Menon will star in Uttarakaanda. However, there has been no official confirmation yet.

The Kannada film also stars Malayalam actor-producer Vijay Babu, Chaithra J Achar, Rangayana Raghu, Yogaraj Bhat, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Umashree, and Diganth.

Launched in 2022, it is directed by Rohith Padaki of Ratnan Prapancha (2021) fame.

Actor-producer Daali Dhananjaya will be seen as a gangster in it.

According to the makers, Uttarakaanda is a mega tale of gangsters from the land of the North.

Made under the KRG Studios banner, the gangster drama produced by Karthik Gowda and Yogi G Raj will also feature Karunada Chakravarthy Dr Shivarajkumar in a powerful role.
