Actor Vishal clarifies on his political entry

Tamil actor Vishal enjoys a huge fan base. Soon after Tamil actor Vijay floated his political party named Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam, it is speculated that Vishal, too, would announce his political entry.

However, ending the speculations of fans and people, Vishal released a statement on social media saying that he was doing public welfare works without any political intentions.

He asserted that he and his fans are taking up social service through the Devi Foundation (founded in the name of Vishal’s mother Devi) with the objective: “Let’s do our best to the deprived.”

Vishal revealed that the Devi Foundation has been helping countless poor, needy students, and farmers. He was also catering to the needs and trying to resolve the grievances of the affected people through the “Thala Movement”.

Further, Vishal clarified that he was taking up these activities without any political intentions, and because he considers it to be his “duty”.

However, he hastened to add that in future, if nature permits, he will not hesitate to be people’s voice.

Vishal’s next movie Rathnam will be released in theatres on 25 March.

The actor’s previous film Mark Antony with SJ Suryah was a super hit.
