Karnataka model of development is inclusive and empowering: Siddaramaiah at Dakshin Dialogues 2023

Due to change of tour plans, I had to travel out of Bengaluru and couldn’t be present in person to inaugurate Dakshin Dialogues 2023 by South First.

The key topics of discussion at this conclave – delimitation and southern models of governance are issues that impact all of us.

In Karnataka, my government wants to ensure social justice for all classes.

Our guarantee schemes- Shakti, Anna Bhagya, Yuva Nidhi, Gruha Lakshmi and Gruha Jyothi – social justice aimed at helping our citizens achieve their full potential is our commitment.

Our guarantees are empowering our citizens, especially women Our women.

That is Karnataka’s model of development- inclusive and empowering.

In an era where press freedom is constantly under attack and when several popular media houses have turned into platforms for communally divisive propaganda, it is heartening to see new age media platforms like South First, talk about issues that actually affect people.

Delimitation is one topic in this conclave. Delimitation cannot become a process to punish well performing states like Karnataka.

I wish the team of South First led by its founder and CEO Srinivas Gandikota, Vice President T Kiran the very best. With this, I would like to declare Dakshin Dialogues 2023 open.

A Dakshin viewpoint: To pause or unpause delimitation

Dakshin Dialogues

Dakshin Dialogues is South First‘s annual thought conclave that brings together South India’s biggest political and judicial minds, and social activists, on one stage.

While federalism was the primary theme of last year’s event, it will remain the core of each session this year too, as South First continues to focus on the other half of the India story.

Dakshin Dialogues 2023 will see the likes of Vidadala Rajini, Khushbu Sundar, Shashi Tharoor, Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Dinesh Gundu Rao, and many others, discussing delimitation, the Southern model of governance, and so much more. Let the dialogues begin!
