Dakshin Dialogues 2023: Population not the only criteria for delimitation: Khushbu Sundar

BJP national executive member and National Commission for Women member Khushbu Sundar said on Saturday, 7 October, that delimitation could not be just settled on or based on population,

She added that other aspects would also be considered while dealing with the delimitation exercise which is going to come up in 2026.

“We have been looking at the current government, and the prime minister is working on it where the delimitation is not going to be only on the population aspect,” said Khushbu Sundar.

On 7 October, South First held the second edition of Dakshin Dialogues 2023. This year warranted a discussion on delimitation and the concerns of the South.

The panellists included VC of the Karnataka Planning Board MV Rajeev Gowda, Justice (Retd) Jasti Chelameswar, BJP National Executive member Khushbu Sundar, and Rajya Sabha MP John Brittas. The session was moderated by the author of South vs North Nilankantan RS.
