Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke shared an old video on Monday, 19 October, purportedly of a Delhi Police officer referring to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi as “Lawrence Bishnoi Sahab”.

The August 2025 video resurfaced a day after members of the Bishnoi gang fired at Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff.

Sharing the video, Abhijeet questioned the differential treatment by the Delhi Police towards the gangsters and students and activists participating in the protests.

He wrote on X: ” “Lawrence Bishnoi Sahab” The respect Delhi Police has for gangsters… Wish they showed even 10% of this courtesy to students and activists who are doing nothing but protest.”

According to Lallantop, the video is from a press conference on a high-profile firing case tied to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, during which,  DCP Abhishek Dhania accidentally referred to the gangster as “Lawrence Bishnoi Sahab”, sparking a viral social media storm.

However, soon after, the DCP explained that it was a “slip of tongue”, and that it happened due to his respect for a senior officer with the same surname.

Attack on Tiger Shroff

Earlier too, sharing the news of attack on Shroff, Dipke said, “Instead of cracking down on students and activists, the police should focus on actual criminals. This is what happens when the Govt and police have their priorities completely misplaced.”

According to Times of India, a message attributed to Anil Pandit, described as an aide of the Bishnoi gang, claimed that Pandit and Harman Sandhu took responsibility for the shooting targeting Shroff. The authenticity of the post is being verified.

The message claimed that the actor had previously been contacted and warned for cooperating with actor Salman Khan. Shroff ignored the warnings. It also threatened members of the Mumbai film industry, saying those who failed to heed the gang’s demands or continued working with actor Khan could be targeted.

According to the New Indian Express report, three suspects allegedly involved in firing have been nabbed at Rajasthan’s Kota railway station while they were running away by train. The accused are all believed to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
