Telangana was bifurcated from united Andhra Pradesh in 2014, however, the data is available since 2010-11.

Moving to the per capita income, the report noted that, though the per capita incomes for all the southern states have grown, the pace has not been the same for all. The report further highlighted that “Andhra Pradesh and Telangana after the bifurcation have grown at quite different rates, with Telangana’s growth being significantly higher.”
While the per capita income of the state in 2023-24 is higher than the national average, it is still the lowest among the five southern states with 36 percent higher than the national average.

In 2000-01, there was a jump in the per capita income to 100.9 percent of the national average, which is slightly crossing the national average.
The data from 2010-11 has been separated for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
