Actor-turned-politician and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan made a sensational allegation against the YSRCP, stating that the state government released ₹1,500 crore to a select few infra companies.

The infra companies were either owned by or related to leaders of the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh, he said.

They were paid to get favours from them during the Assembly elections in 2024, alleged Pawan Kalyan while addressing a meeting in Andhra Pradesh.

He further alleged that the ruling YSRCP was planning to spend ₹200 crore to defeat only him in the next Assembly elections.

Pawan Kalyan intensified his tirade against the YSRCP leaders, keeping in view the Assembly elections in 2024.

On their part, the YSRCP leaders countered Pawan Kalyan’s allegations, stating that all his actions were aimed at benefitting the TDP and once again making the party’s national president N Chandrababu Naidu the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh in 2024.

They said that the people of Andhra Pradesh would teach a befitting lesson to Pawan Kalyan, who failed to win a single seat even after contesting in two Assembly constituencies in the elections held in 2019.
