Mangalagiri set for major development push, 2,000 more families to get house titles: Nara Lokesh

Mangalagiri is poised for a significant development boost, with Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh announcing that 2,000 more residents living on government lands will receive permanent house titles in August. This comes after earlier allocations of ₹1,000 crore benefiting 3,000 families.

The minister also revealed plans to provide temporary housing for the homeless in TIDCO complexes and reviewed the progress of ongoing civic infrastructure projects.

At a recent review meeting, Lokesh directed officials to expedite work on the integrated underground infrastructure project, which will streamline water supply, drainage, power, and gas networks.

He emphasized the timely completion of 31 community halls, 26 parks, and crematoriums under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and government funding. Among the key projects discussed were the development of the Mahanadu Colony retaining wall and a new adjoining park.

The Mangalagiri Eco Park will be upgraded into an adventure tourism hub, while a 350-shop Smart Street Bazaar is set to be launched soon.
