Synopsis: The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has announced the Mega DSC-2025 to fill over 16,000 teaching posts in government schools. The AP Teacher Recruitment Test (AP TRT) – DSC-2025 targets vacancies for School Assistants, Secondary Grade Teachers, Physical Education Teachers, and Special Education Teachers, aiming to strengthen the state’s educational infrastructure through this large-scale hiring drive

The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has officially released the notification of the highly anticipated Mega District Selection Committee (DSC) 2025 to recruit more than 16,000 teaching positions across various government-run educational institutions in the state. 

The recruitment drive, titled AP Teacher Recruitment Test (AP TRT) – DSC-2025, aims to fill vacancies for School Assistants (SAs), Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs), Physical Education Teachers (PETs), and Special Education Teachers.

According to the notification issued on 20 April 2025, applications are open from 20 April to 15 May, via the official websites cse.ap.gov.in and apdsc.apcfss.in. The selection process includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT) to be held between 6 June and 6 July 2025, across designated centres.

Eligibility criteria

  • Age Limit: Applicants must be between 18 and 44 years as on 1 July 2024.
    • SC/ST/BC/EWS candidates: Relaxed upper age limit of 49 years
    • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: Upper age limit extended to 54 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: Eligible age is calculated by deducting the length of service + 3 years from the actual age

Recruitment scope

The recruitment covers multiple departments and institutions:

  • Government, Zilla Parishad, Mandal Parishad, Municipality, and Municipal Corporation Schools
  • Tribal Welfare Ashram Schools
  • Juvenile Welfare Department Schools
  • Welfare of Differently Abled Schools

A district-wise breakdown of vacancies is provided in the notification, with large numbers of openings in districts like Chittoor, Guntur, East Godavari, and Visakhapatnam.

Key details of the notification

  • No waiting list: Only the number of notified vacancies will be filled. Unfilled posts, if any, will be carried forward to future recruitments.
  • Mandatory induction training: Selected candidates must undergo Academics and English Proficiency Training as part of induction.
  • Application fee: ₹750 per post (payment gateway open from 20 April to 15 May).
  • Reapplying option: Candidates who applied for the cancelled DSC-2024 can reapply for the same post without paying the fee again.
  • Certificate upload: Applicants must upload all necessary documents (education, disability, ex-servicemen certificates) before the deadline for the hall ticket to be generated.
