A total of 284 petitions were received at the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) programme held at the Tirupati District Collectorate on Monday.
District In-charge Minister Angani Satya Prasad, and District Collector Dr S Venkateswar directed officials to address every complaint with urgency, empathy, and within stipulated timelines.
Officials interacted directly with petitioners, including differently-abled and elderly individuals, and ensured essential facilities like seating, medical aid, drinking water, and wheelchairs were in place.
The Minister and Collector personally heard grievances and issued spot instructions for resolution, including a case involving a widow, Bharathi, who claimed a land parcel was illegally transferred after her husband’s death.
Video conferences connected officials across mandals, enabling real-time issue redressal. Departments receiving the highest number of petitions included Revenue (149), APSWRIS (28), and Panchayat Raj (24).
Joint Collector Shubham Bansal, Municipal Commissioner Narapureddy Maurya, and several senior officials participated.
Dr Venkateswar emphasised timely, meaningful responses to both new and pending petitions, underscoring the administration’s commitment to responsive governance.
