The makers of 'Bougainvillea' revealed the first-look poster, showcasing the main cast and offering a glimpse into the movie’s world.

The wait is finally over! Amal Neerad has announced his new movie titled Bougainvillea. The film features an impressive cast in prominent roles, including Kunchako Boban, Fahadh Faasil, Sharafudeen, Jyotirmayi, Veena Nandakumar, and Srinda.
The film is written by Amal Neerad and Lajo Jose, with music composed by Sushin Shyam, known for his work on hit movies like Kannur Squad (2023), Aavesham (2024), Manjummel Boys (2024) and more. Anend C Chandran is in charge of cinematography for Bougainvillea.
There was initial excitement about a collaboration between Kunchako Boban and Amal Neerad. However, with the addition of Fahadh Faasil, expectations have shifted.
Bougainvillea is the first film to feature Fahadh Faasil and Kunchako Boban working together.
On 8 June, the makers released the first-look posters of the film. Featuring a red background, these character posters hint at an action-packed venture.

The posters generated significant excitement among movie enthusiasts anticipating a major hit.
Notably, Bougainvillea includes Jyotirmayi, Amal Neerad’s wife, marking her return to acting after an 11-year hiatus.
According to reports, Bougainvillea is based on the book, Ruthinte Lokam, written by Lajo Jose.
The story is a psychological crime thriller centered around Ruth, a young woman suffering from retrograde amnesia, and the mystery surrounding her death.
The plot is filled with unexpected twists, enhancing its thriller appeal. Jyotirmayi is expected to play the role of Ruth.
The roles of Kunchako Boban and Fahadh Faasil remain undisclosed. Amal Neerad Productions and Udaya Pictures produce the movie. Kunchako Boban’s new film Grr is set to release on 14 June. This entertainer also features Suraj Venjaramoodu in a key role.
Meanwhile, Fahadh Faasil is enjoying the success of his latest blockbuster Aavesham. He is further involved in upcoming Tamil films, Vettaiyan (starring Rajinikanth) and Maareesan (starring Vadivelu), besides Allu Arjun’s Telugu film Pushpa 2: The Rule, a sequel to Pushpa: The Rise (2021).
In Malayalam cinema, Fahadh Faasil is busy with Althaf Salim’s Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira.
