The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) and Kerala Film Producers’ Association banned actors Shane Nigam and Sreenath Bhasi.

This is after multiple producers filed complaints from alleging that the actors are under the influence of drugs.

AMMA general secretary Idavela Babu said they will submit to the government the names of the actors who were consuming drugs.

The issue became worse after Shane Nigam asked the producer to show him the edited versions of his new film RDX.

Last year, Sreenath Bhasi misbehaved with the anchor of a YouTube channel. He was banned by the film organisations even then.

Reacting to this, Cultural Minister Saji Cheriyan said the government will look into the matter — especially the use of drugs on cinema sets.

The minister told the media that the government will also organise a cinema conclave to address these issues.
