The last Nizam of Hyderabad laid to rest

Mukarram Jah Bahadur, the eighth and last Nizam of Hyderabad was laid to rest with full state honours at the Makkah Masjid in Hyderabad.

Thousands converged at the Chowmahalla Palace to pay their last respects.

A gun salute was accorded to the late Jah Bahadur during the funeral.

The community observed a self-declared shutdown of markets and shops near Charminar.
