Tamil Nadu forest officials reunite separated elephant calf with its herd

The reunion happened after a three-day effort by the forest officials who used drones and other mapping technologies to locate the herd.

In a heartwarming incident, a two-month-old elephant calf was reunited with its herd in the Nilgiris district on Friday, 2 September. The reunion happened after a three-day effort by the Tamil Nadu forest officials. The calf got separated while the herd was crossing a swollen river in Segur Range. The forest department used drones and other mapping technologies to locate the herd.
