Tamil Nadu forest department to treat sick elephant of Coimbatore forest

The eight-year-old elephant was spotted on the banks of a stream in Coimbatore on Tamil Nadu-Kerala forest boundaries.

After confusion over jurisdiction, efforts to treat a sick elephant are underway by the Tamil Nadu forest department. The elephant was spotted on the banks of a stream in Coimbatore. The stream separates Tamil Nadu and Kerala forest boundaries. This led to confusion over which state has the jurisdiction to treat the 8-year-old tusker.
