Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin meets migrant workers, dispels fears over attacks

While the Tamil Nadu police have booked a few people for spreading rumours, the BJP has accused the DMK government of dragging its feet.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Tuesday, 7 March, met migrant workers in Tirunelveli to assuage fears among the community following a spate of fake videos of attacks.

Stalin dispelled rumours of any attacks and assured workers of their safety.

While the Tamil Nadu police have booked a few people for spreading rumours, the BJP has accused the DMK government of dragging its feet.

Tamil Nadu BJP Vice President Narayanan Thirupathy said its party unit in Bihar was among others who spread the fake videos.
