Deccan Corporation high-rise demolition: Nearby houses develop cracks

Days after teams began demolition of the gutted Deccan Corporation building with heavy earth-moving machinery, cracks have developed in residential structures in the vicinity.

Authorities evacuated the residents and shifted them to temporary shelters.

Residents, however, have demanded compensation for the damage to their structures and want more safeguards during the demolition process.
