Shivamogga airport to be named after Rashtrakavi Kuvempu, Narendra Modi likely to inaugurate

Former Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa announced that the new Shivamogga airport will be named after Rashtrakavi Kuvempu.

Earlier, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai had hinted that the airport would be named after Yediyurappa.

The former chief minister turned down the proposal.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the airport on 27 February.
