Reporter’s Take: Kerala, Tamil Nadu and UTs in South figure in top tier of Social Progress Index

Puducherry got the highest score at 65.99 and Tamil Nadu 63.33. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana fell in the Tier 4 category.

Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu and Kerala are among those which figure in the top tier of the Social Progress Index (SPI) released recently.

While Kerala ranked ninth among states that acquired very high social progress, Karnataka figured at 17th in the overall list.

Puducherry got the highest score at 65.99 and Tamil Nadu 63.33. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana fell in the Tier 4 category.
