Pro-Hindu outfit puts saffron flag atop the National emblem in Shivamogga in Karnataka at a Ganesh visarjan event on Friday, 9 September.
The Hindu Mahasabha hoisted the saffron flag above the National emblem on Friday.
The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) members took objection to this and said that it is against the Constitution and a clear violation of the law.
The SDPI accused the Hindu Mahasabha of instigating minority community.
It said that the act is an attempt to disrupt communal harmony ahead of upcoming elections.
