Prarambh Mission’s Vikram-S soars into space

Skyroot Aerospace scripted history with the first privately developed rocket which is a single-stage sub-orbital rocket.

India’s first privately developed rocket, Vikram-S was successfully launched at the Sriharikota spaceport on Friday, 18 November.

The rocket was developed by startup Skyroot Aerospace with the support of ISRO and IN-SPACe.

It lifted off at 11.30 am and reached an altitude of 81.5km with payloads weighing a total of 83kg.
