The Nizam-era stepwell is being restored by removing around 2000 tonnes of debris accumulated for over 40 years.

After being a designated dump yard for over 40 years, the Bansilalpet stepwell has been restored to its past glory.
The Nizam-era stepwell is being restored by The Rainwater Project, an organisation led by Kalpana Ramesh.
Around 2000 tonnes of debris has been removed from the stepwell to restore its original structure.
The stepwell will be open for public view in a few weeks.
