West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tried her hand at the Chenda Melam in Chennai on Thursday, 3 November.

She was at an event to celebrate the birthday of Mizoram Guv L Ganesan’s brother.

Known for her interest in the performing arts, Mamata was drawn to the Chenda Melam while entering the hall.

She took over the drumsticks to join the troupe.

The West Bengal CM is on a two-day visit to Chennai and also met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin.
