The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has gone national. It is the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) now. It has a new all-India character, constitution, and appeal.
For Telangana Chief Minister and TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao, the announcement of the national party — the Bharat Rashtra Samithi — at 1.19 pm on Wednesday, 5 October, was a defining milestone.
As soon as the TRS metamorphosed into the BRS, the party sent a communication to the Election Commission of India, intimating it of the change of the name as approved by the general body of the TRS.
