Karnataka Polls 2023: KGF, a golden past but distressing present

The once booming Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) town that saw hundreds migrate from other states in search of a better livelihood now stands virtually still, at least when it comes to development.

Since the gold mines closed down in 2001, the Assembly constituency has hardly seen any development.
