IAF aircraft touchdown on NH-16 in Andhra Pradesh

The Indian Air Force carried out trial runs of its aircrafts at an Emergency Landing Facility on the NH-16 in Bapatla in Andhra Pradesh.

The Indian Air Force on Thursday, 29 December, carried out trial runs of its fighter jets and transport aircraft at an Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) on the NH-16 in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh.

The ELF is a first in South India. NHAI and IAF set up the ELF on the Chennai-Kolkata highway.

IAF said the aircraft carried out practice flying including circuit, approach and overshoot at the newly constructed ELF.
