Huge crowd welcomes Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra to Kerala

Kerala's former CM Oommen Chandy and MP Sashi Tharoor among the prominent Congress leaders to greet Gandhi on his arrival.

Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ entered Kerala border Parassala at 7 am on Sunday, 11 September. KPCC president K Sudhakaran and leader of Opposition VD Satheesan welcomed the yatra into the state.

All the prominent Kerala Congress leaders, MPs and MLAs were present at Parassala. Former CM Oommen Chandy and former opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala among the prominent leaders present at the event.

Gandhi began the Kerala journey by paying tributes at the Kamaraj statue. Traditional Kerala art forms like Theyyam and Thira added attraction to the yatra.

Huge crowds were present on both sides of the national highway to receive the leader bringing the traffic to a halt for several hours.
