Frenzied football fans of Kozhikode in trouble over dangerous stunts

A group of football fans in Karanthur of Kozhikode landed in trouble over performing dangerous stunts on vehicles as part of a FIFA World Cup celebration event.

Visuals showed young men perched dangerously on speeding vehicles and waving flags of their favourite football teams.

The State Motor Vehicles Department swung into action following complaints from residents.

The Department has cancelled the registration of vehicles used and also suspended the licences of those who performed the stunts.
