DMK MLA SR Raja, on Thursday, 22 September, was booked by police for threatening and abusing the management of an auto ancillary company near Chennai. Tambaram MLA SR Raja has been booked under charges including trespassing and criminal intimidation.

A video of the MLA abusing and threatening the management of Daejung Moparts Private Limited had gone viral. The MLA was heard asking the management of the company to vacate the premises and hurling abuses at the management of the company.

The complaint from the company CEO said MLA Raja created ruckus in support of a former MD of the firm who had allegedly embezzled company funds.

Following this, the Tamil Nadu BJP took a jibe at the DMK government and asked if this was “Dravida model” government they were propagating.

The State BJP chief K Annamalai also criticised the DMK for the alleged breakdown of law and order in the state.
