A day after Congress leaders sported flowers behind their ears during Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai’s budget speech, party cadres escalated the ‘kivi mele hoova’ campaign by sticking posters on BJP’s banners that listed its achievements.
Campaign posters were put up in Bengaluru and Mangaluru.
‘Kivi mele hoova’ or ‘flower on the ear’ campaign by Congress claims BJP government’s budget 2023 was an eyewash as promises made in 2022 still remained unfulfilled.
On Friday, 17 February, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai retorted by saying the Congress had duped the people of the state during its tenure and the same people had now rejected the corrupt party.
