Coimbatore Blast probe: NIA searches multiple locations across Tamil Nadu

The searches were part of the investigation to probe the source and supply network of funds and explosives of the accused.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday, 10 November, conducted searches in over 40 locations across Tamil Nadu in connection with the Coimbatore blast on 23 October.

NIA teams, with a backup of Tamil Nadu police, conducted searches in Coimbatore and Chennai among other locations.

Searches were conducted based on information gleaned from five arrested suspects.

On October 23, Jameesha Mubin, the bomber died in the blast outside a temple in Ukkadam, following which police arrested five persons.

Sleuths said that the searches were part of the investigation to probe the source and supply network of funds and explosives of the accused.
