Canines pass with flying colours from Hyderabad academy

Forty-eight canines passed out with flying colours from the Integrated Intelligence Training Academy (IITA) in Moinabad, Hyderabad.

Skills exhibited by the canines at the passing out parade left many spellbound. The canines, from breeds including Cocker Spaniel, Labrador, German Shepherd and Golden Retriever underwent an 8-month specialised training in sniffing narcotics and explosives, tracking and guarding.

Sixty-eight handlers also underwent training at the academy. The trained canines will be inducted into the police forces of Telangana and Arunachal Pradesh.
