Barefoot College celebrates 50 years of working with rural communities

A three-day event – ‘A celebration of empowerment — 50 years of innovation and sustainability at Barefoot College Tilonia’ concluded in Bengaluru.

The event had speakers including activists Gopalkrishna Gandhi, Laila Tyabji, Uzramma, Aruna Roy and Bunker Roy, founder of Barefoot College.

Barefoot communicators used traditional forms of music, puppetry and conversations to explain the work done by the organisation over the last 50 years.
