Airbus Beluga lands at Hyderabad airport

The Beluga, resembling a whale, carries space station components, intact helicopters and other outsize cargo.

The Beluga, Airbus A300-600ST, touched down at the Hyderabad International Airport on Sunday, 5 December, evening.

Special arrangements for landing, parking and take-off were made for one of the world’s largest cargo aeroplanes.

The Beluga, resembling a whale, was earlier called Super Transporter.

It carries space station components, intact helicopters and other outsize cargo.
