A welfare scheme is a duty of the government: DMK MP Kanimozhi

DMK MP Kanimozhi hits back at Union government over “Freebies” row on 23 August 2022. She inaugurated a student union function at a private college in Chennai. Speaking to the reporters, she said that there is a difference between welfare plans and freebies. She added that Kalaignar gave free electricity to farmers and had he not given them this, many farmers would’ve left the profession.
