Results of the IIT-Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2023 were declared by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) on Sunday, 18 June.
Six students secured in the 100th percentile in the JEE Main 2023 and emerged as toppers of JEE Advanced 2023, with Telangana’s Vavilala Chidvilas Reddy bagging the All India Rank (AIR) 1.
A total of 1,80,372 students appeared in both papers in IIT-JEE Advanced, of whom 43,773 have qualified.
A total of 36,204 male students and 7,509 female students cleared JEE Advanced 2023.
Among the seven major zones, most candidates — 10,432 — have qualified from the Hyderabad zone, with six out of the top 10 rankers hailing from this region.

With a score of 341 out of 360 marks, Vavilala Reddy finished first at the podium across the country.
The Hyderabad student reportedly expressed his intention to pursue BTech in Computer Science Engineering at IIT-Bombay. He apparently aspires to be a computer scientist or innovator, or work with the government.
Reddy was at Sri Chaitanya School and Junior College in Hyderabad since the age of 11.
His father Rajeshwar Reddy mother Nagalaxmi Reddy are mathematics teachers at a government school in the Rangareddy district.
“I expected to be in the top 10 and I was able to achieve it. I want to attribute my success to my family, my teachers, and my mentors,” Reddy told reporters.
Among the women candidates, Nayakanti Naga Bhavya Sree was the topper, securing the 56th rank. She is a native of Proddatur in the Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh.
Vavilala Reddy was followed by AIR 2 Ramesh Surya Theja, who is also from the Hyderabad zone.
The third and fourth spots were bagged by Rishi Kalra and Raghav Goyal — both from the Roorkee (Uttarakhand) zone — while Addagada Venkata Sivaram, again from the Hyderabad zone, finished fifth.
Prabhav Khandelwal from the Delhi zone secured the sixth rank while Bikkina Abhinav Chowdary from Hyderabad finished in the seventh position.
Malay Kedia from the Delhi zone grabbed the eighth spot. Kedia was also the topper of JEE (Mains).
The ninth and 10th positions were bagged by Nagireddy Balaaji Reddy and Yakkanti Pani Venkata Maneendhar Reddy, respectively.
Both of them are from the Hyderabad zone, taking the tally to six candidates in the top 10 hailing from this zone.
Candidates who have qualified for the IIT JEE examination can appear for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling round. A total of 118 institutes are part of the counselling process conducted by JoSAA.
The JoSAA round 1 counselling registration will begin on June 19, 2023. The last date to apply for the counselling round is till 28 June, 2023.
