BRS raised questions on why the district collector was fawning over Tirupati Reddy when he does not hold any elected position. Tirupati is the brother of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

Unfortunately, it seems children are the prey that politicians and officials feed on whenever they want to please their political bosses.
Two such incidents took place in Telangana. One was to please Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s brother Anumula Tirupati Reddy while the other was to worm into the heart of Medak Congress leader Mynampalli Hanumantha Rao.
Children were made to wait under hot son to receive Tirupati Reddy when he visited Vikarabad a couple of days ago. The videos, in which the students took out a parade of sorts for him as he got down from his car which had a long motorcade in tow, have gone viral.
As Tirupati Reddy stepped out of his car, the district collector welcomed him with a bouquet and the students were made to stand on either side of the road and give him a salute. As a few students led him mimicking a ceremonial march, he walked on with the collector on his side and a group of Congress leaders following him till they reached their school where there was a function scheduled.
What came as a surprise is the district collector fawning over Tirupati Reddy when he does not hold any elected position. The BRS took serious exception to the welcome given to Tirupati Reddy by the collector and condemned it for using innocent children to be in the good books of the chief minister’s brother.
BRS working president, KT Rama Rao said that it is a stroke of luck that the people of Telangana have six chief ministers when they elected only one.
Lacing his words in stinging sarcasm, KTR said on X: “This 1+6 Chief Minister offer is something no one in independent India had ever seen. My hearty congratulations to Vikarabad Chief Minister A Tirupati Reddy. I have one request for the CM. Since you yours is a praja palana, let the people have the choice to elect one among the several Anumula CMs. Maybe you could consider doing it by IVRS.”

In another incident, on Friday, 10 January, students appeared to have been forced to celebrate the birthday of Congress leader and former MLA from Medak Myanpalli Hanumantha Rao in a metro train in Hyderabad.
A Congress leader is understood to have planned the birthday bash in a metro train after pasting his leader’s huge posters on the outside of the metro train’s coaches.
Later the children were made to assemble in one of the coaches, cut a cake and chant “Happy Birthday Hanumanthu Anna.”
