Near Tippapuram, her pain intensified, and she delivered the baby on the roadside.
A heart-wrenching incident came to light in Batti Gudem village of Charla mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem, where a pregnant woman was forced to deliver her baby on a muddy forest track.

This is not an isolated incident. Just weeks ago, a woman from Veerapuram had to deliver in the forest under similar circumstances, while another expectant mother from Ramachandrapuram was carried for several kilometres in a jetti before reaching medical help.
Locals allege that despite approaching officials and successive governments, their pleas for proper road connectivity remain unheard. “No woman should have to go through this ordeal. We only ask for a road to save lives,” they said.
