Konda Visweshwar Reddy along with his wife K Sangitha Reddy and son K Viraj Madhav Reddy have assets totalling ₹4,564.21 crore.
Konda Vishweshwar Reddy of the BJP has emerged as the richest BJP candidate so far in the country with assets worth more than ₹4,564 crore.
According to the affidavit he had filed along with his nomination papers for Chevella Lok Seat on Monday, 22 April, the former MP along with his wife K Sangitha Reddy and son K Viraj Madhav Reddy have assets to the tune of ₹4,564.21 crore.
Vishweshwar and Sangitha Reddy hold the controlling stake in Apollo Hospitals, and their shares contributed to the highest value of the assets declared. Sangitha Reddy is the executive director of Apollo Hospitals.
The affidavit put Vishweshwar Reddy’s moveable assets at ₹1,178 crore. Sangitha and Madhav Reddy have moveable assets worth ₹3,203 crore and ₹107 crore, respectively.
Vishweshwar Reddy has immovable assets of 71.34 crore, while Sangitha Reddy has assets worth ₹3.6 crore in her name. Their son has immovable assets to the tune of ₹1.27 crore.
The candidate and his wife have liabilities of ₹1.67 crore and ₹12 crore, respectively. Vishweshwar Reddy has ₹973 crore worth of shares in Apollo Hospitals while his wife Sangitha Reddy has shares worth ₹1,500 crore.
The total market capitalisation of Apollo Hospitals at the close of market hours in BSE on Monday was ₹89,650.45 crore.
Vishweshwar Reddy has 70 acres around Hyderabad while Sangita Reddy has 14 acres.
They have residential buildings with a total area of 45,432 sq ft, one commercial complex on Road No: 12 at Banjara Hills, 14 shops at Osman Ganj, and a shopping complex on Road No: 86 at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
