Telangana Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao announced a ₹1 crore grant to Osmania University to study the state’s lifestyle and cultural changes. Speaking at a two-day national conference on arts and social sciences, he emphasised the need for deeper research into societal shifts, expressing concern over rising social ills and excessive lifestyles.

He urged students and researchers to take responsibility in shaping a better future through informed inquiry.

Osmania University Vice-Chancellor Acharya Kumar Molugaram highlighted the growing relevance of multidisciplinary learning and the government’s efforts in skill development. Scholars from across India presented their findings, with speakers stressing the role of the humanities in addressing modern challenges.
