After three years, Telangana’s tableau, which depicts the people’s struggle against atrocities of monarchy and feudal forces in the distant past, will be part of the Republic Day celebrations in Delhi on Friday, 26 January.

The last time the Telangana tableau was part of the Republic Day parade was in 2020. Before that, it was in 2015.

The Telangana tableau was allowed to participate after Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s intervention. The permission will be valid for the next two years, an official press release said.

The tableau captures the trials and tribulations that the people of Telangana had gone through while fighting the socio-economic feudal forces at the instances of the ruling class.

“Telangana has produced great fighters like Chakali Ilamma, Komaram Bheem, and Ramji Gondu. They fought valiantly against cruel dictators as they loved freedom and self-rule. They upheld democratic traditions,” the press release said.

The tableau was designed based on the suggestions of the Chief Minister. Equally helpful in ensuring participation of the tableau at the parade were Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Information and Public Relations Minister P Srinivas Reddy, the press release said.
