Though the girl was injured on 11 February, police were informed on 15 February after her condition deteriorated. She died the next day.

Sangareddy police have arrested Veera and Vijay Reddy for murder.
Synopsis: Aliya Begum was preparing for her 10th standard board exam when the incident occurred. Her father was attacked for publicly urinating. Two men have been arrested following her death.
A bid to protect her father from their neighbours cost a 15-year-old girl her life in Telangana.
Aliya Begum, a 10th-standard student, was preparing for board exams when the incident occurred at Antharam village of Sangareddy district’s Chevella Mandal, when a neighbour, identified as Veera Reddy, and his relative Vijay Reddy, attacked her father with stones.
Veera Reddy was reportedly enraged after the girl’s father, Mohammed Ismail, urinated into the drain facing his house.
Police said Veera Reddy confronted Ismail, and the argument turned into a fight. Vijay Reddy also joined in and attacked Ismail with stones on 11 February.
Aliya Begum reportedly tried to intervene but was injured.
“Mohammed Ismail urinated into the drain opposite Veera Reddy’s house. Bothered by the public urination, Veera Reddy confronted Ismail and was soon joined by his relative Vijay Reddy,” Sangareddy DSP Sattaiah Goud told South First.
“During the fight, 15-year-old Aliya stepped in to break up the fight. However, she was injured since the assailants used stones to attack Ismail,” he said.
Though she was taken to a local hospital, Goud said the police were not informed till her condition worsened on 15 January.
“She passed away from complications at a private hospital on 16 February. We subsequently arrested Vijay and Veera Reddy for murder on 17 February,” the DSP said.
Meanwhile, reports said the girl was a cancer patient.
