Telangana Police rescued 7,678 children during Operation Muskaan XI, conducted across the state from 1 July to 31 July, 2025, under the supervision of the Women Safety Wing.

The month-long drive, part of a nationwide initiative by the Ministry of Home Affairs, targeted child labour, trafficking, and bonded labour through joint efforts with the Women Development and Child Welfare Department, Labour Department, Health officials, CWCs, DCPUs, and NGOs.

Of the children rescued, 7,149 were boys and 529 girls, including 3,787 from 12 other states and four from Nepal. The operation led to the registration of 1,713 FIRs, arrest of 1,718 accused, and the reunification of 6,593 children with their families, while 1,049 were admitted to rescue homes.

The Labour Department issued 1,613 inspection reports and imposed ₹47.76 lakh in fines under the Minimum Wages Act. Additionally, 2,600 migrant children were enrolled in 29 Urban Bridge Schools, a police statement said on Friday.
