The Cyberabad police apprehended 389 in a special drunk driving check in Hyderabad during the weekend.
Of the offenders, 315 were on two-wheelers, 13 on three-wheelers, 59 on four-wheelers, and two on heavy vehicles.
A tragic incident occurred in the Kushaiguda industrial area, where a man lost his life following an explosion at a garbage dump. The incident, captured on CCTV, took place while he was clearing waste, according to the police.
The victim, identified as K Nagaraju (37), was handling the garbage when a blast suddenly occurred in a half-used, expired paint can.
The Kushaiguda police have launched an investigation into the matter.
